 For Pakistan's healthcare system to improve, digital technology must be used.

     The adoption of digital technology is essential to transforming the nation's healthcare services, according to speakers at a national policy debate on healthcare improvement held here on Tuesday.

They noted during the debate held at the COMSTECH Secretariat that Pakistan had a skilled and capable personnel in the health industry, but that they needed training in digital technologies to handle today's difficulties.

The OIC Standing Committee for Scientific and Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH) and Health Services Academy Islamabad conducted a discussion titled "Improving Healthcare in Pakistan-Challenges and Opportunities" in cooperation with other organizations. Dr. Palitha Gurnathana Mahipala, WHO's country director for Pakistan, took part in the ceremony as a special guest.
